SWEETness is Planmaking!

Even with this cold weather here in Louisiana, the SWEET team has been hard at work! With new plans and the re-modeling of our youth chapel, we're beginning this year with quite some motivation! There are quite a few brain-stormers in our group and things have been moving along quite splendidly. We're currently in the formation of a Youth Choir/Band which will play once a month for regular service. Practice times are still in discussion. Some challenges we've issued to our youth: 1) Whoever brings in the most change will receive a gift card (See Bro. Neil LaBorde for details). 2) Whichever Sunday school class brings in the most offering money for this quarter will get to PARTY!

Let me tell you of the upcoming events!Photobucket
January 8-9 > Bro. Collin Nolen and Sis. Jera Ford will be traveling to the C4 Summit's Youth Leadership Conference in Lafayette, LA.

February 27 > sweetLife's Extreme Edition starting @ 7PM. We'll be having quite a service with MUSIC & WORSHIP! And Bro. Will Hall of Living Way (Lake Charles, LA) will be our 'sweet' speaker!

Photobucket SWEET Talk
"Do you ever wonder why God doesn't get bored watching our lives? He knows every detail, our past, present, and future, the mistakes, the trials, our happy moments, embarrassments, our thoughts, EVERYTHING! Have you ever thought about how when you go to see a movie, you may know what is going to happen already but still feel the anticipation of wanting to see it? You may have already seen the previews, read spoilers, you know everything that is going to happen... But still there is the desire to see it. It is the same with God! He loves us and wants to see our ups and downs. Although He may know what will happen, He still watches. He expects us to reach out to Him. He knows the beginning and the ending, so why shouldn't we trust and let Him take control? He already knows what is going to happen, so why not depend on Him?"
"In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths." Proverbs 3:6
